Wild Product Collection
Organic certification for wild collected products is intended to collect products from plants [leaves, flowers, roots, stems and fruit], forest honey and mushrooms that grow wildly and are not cultivated by humans. Producers only collect wild products in a sustainable manner.
General Requirements:
A. Collection area
- Chemical free at least 3 years [free of contamination].
- Map of collection areas at collection centers: marked boundaries, location of collection centers, isolation/contamination areas.
- Not in contaminated areas such as agricultural or residential areas.
- third party confirmation (government) that the area is free of agrochemical use.
B. Plant info and collection method
- complete information of the harvested plant: botanical name, local name, part taken, location of collection, period of collection, plant habitat,
